Emmerdale star explains Belle's new baby decision

Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper has revealed the next stage of her character Belle King's baby storyline.
Belle takes a pregnancy test later this week and is relieved when the result is negative. However, her abusive husband Tom is clearly unhappy over the outcome.
Tom has put pressure on Belle to start a family with him ever since they got married earlier this year. Belle has always insisted that it's not the right time.
Later this week, Belle appears to change her mind following Tom's latest controlling behaviour.

When Belle regrets this, she visits the doctors surgery and speaks to Manpreet Sharma about ways to discreetly continue with her contraceptive prescription without Tom knowing.
Speaking about the upcoming scenes, Eden explained: "So from the minute they got married, Tom was very quick to bring up having a baby. Belle quite clearly said: 'Let's slow down'.
"I think Tom put the pressure on by saying: 'Well, I don't have a family, you are my family and I want a family. This is my dream'.
"Belle, after quite a few episodes of him pushing for it, says: 'Okay, yeah, we can have a baby'. And straight after that it's like: 'What am I doing? I don't want to have a baby right now'.

"I don't think Belle quite realises herself that she knows she doesn't want to have a baby with him. I think she just thinks: 'I'm too young and I've got too much going on'."
Eden continued: "She goes to see Manpreet to organise collecting her pill so Tom doesn't find out, which is huge for her. I think that's the first time she's done something that she thinks if he finds out, this would be terrible."
Emmerdale viewers have recently seen Tom scheme to keep Belle apart from Vinny Dingle.

This culminated in Tom brutally attacking Vinny at the scrapyard, with Vinny still currently unaware of who the culprit was.
Eden added: "There's a lot going on and Belle's not actually aware at this point of any of those things happening. So the viewers obviously see what Tom is doing and what Tom's capable of.
"Belle knows something isn't quite right but whenever there's any situation she completely blames herself and he does a great job gaslighting her into feeling that way."
