Moments before Emma Watson reunited with her Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire co-star Robert Pattinson at the 75th Golden Globes, the 27-year-old shed light on the possibility of a Beauty and the Beast sequel.

Walking the red carpet at last night's star-studded awards show, joined by Marai Larasi, the executive director of Imkaan, the actress admitted: 'I'm intrigued to see where the storyline goes after the Beast transforms.'

'Anything could happen,' she said when asked about the sequel to her hit film, which recently beat Star Wars: The Last Jedi in the battle to be the UK's most popular film of 2017.

Explaining her reason for wearing black to the event, joining the likes of Gal Gadot, Reese Witherspoon and Zoe Kravitz who wore the statement colour in protest against sexual harassment and support of victims, Watson said:

'We're wearing black because this is a moment in time, it's not the beginning of a movement or the end of a movement, but it is a moment in time that we stand in solidarity with women across all spheres of life, with women across industries, basically saying time's up on violence against women.'

In an interview with E! News' Ryan Seacrest, The Circle star - who last week debuted a shorter fringe - opened up about the opportunity to bring activists such as Larasi as guests to the awards show.

'We've been working together this year and when Michelle Williams spearheaded the idea of actresses bringing activists on the red carpet, my first thought was, :It would be so great to do it with Marai, because we have fun together, we challenge each other",'Watson revealed.

'We do,' Larasi added. 'Solidarity, mutual respect.'

'There's something about in women in Hollywood speaking out,' she continued. 'There is a wall of silence around violence against women and girls and every time somebody speaks out, it just creates a bit of a crack in that wall.'
