These two are our new favorite late night duo! La La Land actress Emma Stone nearly failed Jimmy Fallon’s whispering game and it’s so much better than if she would’ve nailed it.
On Thursday night’s episode of The Tonight Show, Emma Stone played the whisper challenge with the talk show host and things took a funny turn from the moment it started.
During the game, Stone rocked headphones, and tried to figure out what Fallon was singing as he whispered the lyrics to numerous songs. The host began with Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA,” and instead of singing the chorus he chose to do the opening lyrics…just to mess with the actress.
“Whatever you’re doing looks inappropriate,” Stone said, laughing.
To make things a little more interesting, Fallon switched it up and made the game into charades, and of course it was hilarious. Still trying to guess the first song, the comedian made a baby bump to give away, “born,” but Stone guessed “pork.” What?
“It looked like ‘Pork in the Desert,’ the 28-year-old actress said after she finally guessed correctly.
“Born in the USA” wasn’t the only song she had to guess. Fallon also sang “Blue Christmas,” in Elvis’ voice, so it was nearly impossible for Stone to understand. Poor, girl, she really had no chance.
On the other side, Fallon spent almost no time guessing “Hit Me Baby One More Time,” and “Baby Got Back,” both of which were equally ridiculous and SO funny.
