Emergency Preparedness Fair in Thousand Oaks gives out life-saving info
Visitors to the Emergency Preparedness Fair in Thousand Oaks Saturday left with life-saving information.
The event at the Thousand Oaks stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offered lessons in CPR, provided presentations on emergency communications and showed guests about ways to store water and purify it.
Organizer Renae Rollo said the event helps fulfill a tenet of the faith to be prepared. The fair was not only for members but also for neighbors and the public overall.
"Your best asset in an emergency is your neighbors," she said.
