Emerald Park in Panama City Beach now leasing wave of new high-end apartments

PANAMA CITY BEACH − More luxury living options now are available in the Panama City Beach area.

As of this month, Emerald Park, a high-end apartment complex that sits off Front Beach Road, began leasing a wave of new units that were built as part of an expansion project to the property. The complex also is gearing up to host a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 18 to celebrate the development.

The property is owned by Time Equities Inc., a real estate development company based in New York.

"This Phase 2 represented a significant investment in the community (and) beautifying an important intersection on Front Beach road," Robert Singer, director of development for Time Equities, said. "Our company always has believed in the Panama City market and Bay County."

Singer noted the new phase of development boasts 108 units, bringing the total number of units at Emerald Park to 187.

He also said that Time Equities purchased the property, as well as the rights to expand, from its previous developer in 2013. At that time, the complex was known as Villas at Suncrest and had only 79 unsold condos.

Time Equities then began renting out the condos before rebranding the complex to Emerald Park and beginning construction of the expansion project in late 2022. The original condos offer two- and three-bedroom options, while the new units feature one-, two- and three-bedroom options.

"The new units ... have all the latest and greatest technology, finishes and style," Singer said. "From a sizing point of view, they're more standard. Whereas the original 79 units are more oversized."

Along with more units, the expansion added a 6,500-square-foot clubhouse and a 2,200-square-foot co-working center.

Information on the complex's website states it also boasts two pools, a fitness center, shared gaming lawns, outdoor grilling stations and a dog park.

"It's a very high-quality project," Singer said of the expansion. "It's full service and highly amenitized. ... I would call it luxury rentals."
