Elizabeth Tan channels her inner princess in "Kini Masaku"

Malaysian singer Elizabeth Tan has been chosen to sing the anthem of Disney's newest crown princess, "Elena of Avalor"!

Although the 22-year-old singer won't be lending her voice in the series, she has the honour of singing the Malay version of the series' original music, "My Time", translated as "Kini Masaku", which is Princess Elena's personal anthem.

In the original English language version, the song was performed by Aimee Carrero, the voice of Princess Elena herself.

Apart from Bahasa Malaysia, Disney Channel has also localised the song in Bahasa Indonesia, performed by Indonesian singer Chilla Kiana.

The music video was shot in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, an open-air museum and heritage park in Bagac, Bataan, Philippines.

"Elena of Avalor" takes place in the same universe as "Sofia the First", about a brave and adventurous Latina princess who has saved her kingdom from an evil sorceress and must now learn to rule as crown princess until she is old enough to be queen.

Created by Emmy Award winner Craig Gerber, the highly anticipated animated series will make its royal debut on 13 November, 11am on Disney Channel (Astro Ch 615).
