Electric bicycle rider seriously injured after crashing on Rock Island Trail

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A person riding an electric bicycle was seriously injured after crashing on the Rock Island Trail Friday.

The Kansas City Police Department reports the incident happened near 9611 East 53rd Street. The exact time of the crash is unknown.

KCPD said a person out on his morning run found the rider on the concrete trail.

The electric bicyclist rider was taken to an area hospital and is reported to have life-threatening injuries.
