An 87-year-old woman was killed Wednesday when she was mowed down by her car in a “freak accident” in Brooklyn, police said.

The elderly woman thought she parked her blue 2013 Toyota Corolla in a driveway, but left the sedan in gear just before 3 p.m. in front of a home on West 10th Street in Gravesend, according to the cops.

“When she walked behind the vehicle, the vehicle rolled over her,” an NYPD spokesperson said.

Police were called to the scene, where they found the injured victim with severe head and torso trauma.

EMS rushed her to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn but she could not be saved.

Cops did not release her identity Wednesday night pending family notification.
