Elaina’s Experiments: Ocean acidification

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — On this segment of Elaina’s Experiments observe how water absorbs carbon dioxide causing it to change colors through acidification.

Chelsy Lancaster, a STEM Program Specialist with the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, joined 17 News at Noon for another installment of Elaina’s Experiments.

Elaina’s Experiments: Rainbows

To try this experiment at home you need a cup of water, a straw and cabbage juice, which is a natural pH indicator. To make the juice, blend up some cabbage and strain out the solids and collect the remaining liquid.
