El Paso Electric awarded 2024 Energy Star Partner of Year
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Electric has earned a 2024 Energy Star Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the electric company announced.
The Energy Star program selects businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to energy efficiency and the transition to a clean energy economy, according to El Paso Electric.
This year, El Paso Electric was given the Energy Star Partner of the Year in Sustained Excellence Award.
“I congratulate this year’s Energy Star award winners for their innovation and leadership, in delivering cost-effective energy efficient solutions that create jobs, address climate change, and contribute to a healthier environment for all,” EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan said.
“El Paso Electric is honored to be recognized with the 2024 Energy Star Partner of the Year in Sustained Excellence Award, a testament to our unwavering dedication to advancing energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. This prestigious accolade reaffirms our commitment to leading the charge towards a sustainable and vibrant future for all,” Supervisor of Energy Efficiency at El Paso Electric Araceli Perea said.
According to El Paso Electric, the efforts of all companies and organizations who were awarded the Energy Star have saved more than 5 trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity over the past 30 years.
