The Easter eggs you probably missed in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp'
Warning: Ant-Man and the Wasp spoilers ahead!
Ant-Man and the Wasp has been in theaters for a cool 10 days now, giving fans (and bloggers) plenty of time to engage in one of their favorite pastimes: hunting for Easter eggs.
During a recent stop at Yahoo Studios, director Peyton Reed dropped a couple to look for what you probably missed, both in very specific and DIY terms (watch above).
The first one is a referential nod to Baba Yaga, the mythical bogeywoman that Kurt (David Dastmalchian) compares Ghost to while the gang is all gathered at X-Con’s offices.
“In Hank Pym’s lab, in a certain area beside where the quantum pod is, he’s got an old stereo console and there’s a record album on it, and it’s Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s ‘The Hut of Baba Yaga,'” Reed said. “So Hank Pym’s into prog rock, who knew?” (Likelier story: Peyton Reed is into prog rock.)
Reed was much more vague in his next reveals. “For the time that we spend in the Quantum Realm, and particularly toward the end of the Quantum Realm, if you’re looking for it, there are some visual cues about maybe some other parts of the Quantum Realm. I’ll leave it at that.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp is now in theaters.
