Easter egg event set for Saturday in downtown Gaylord

GAYLORD — The Downtown Merchants Association's annual Easter Egg Hop will take place from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 23 in Gaylord.

Children of all ages are encouraged to participate in collecting candy-filled plastic eggs from participating businesses and visits with the Easter Bunny as he hops from store to store.

Be sure to open your eggs before heading home, as they could contain certificates for special prizes, which must be redeemed at Alpine Tavern between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Currently, prizes and candy have been donated by 45th Parallel, White Birch Outfitters, CRAVE, Alpine Tavern, Snowbelt Brewing, Hogan’s Jewelers, The Holistic Spa, Styleworks Hair Studio, Alpine Title and Escrow, State Savings Bank, Smith Realty Group, Walmart, Jay’s Sporting Good, Horizon Bank, Alpine Chocolat Haus and Tools to Teach.
