EastEnders' Harvey Monroe is set to take action amid the sinister Dean Wicks storyline.

Dean has been actively keeping daughter Jade Masood sick so she won't leave Albert Square, with Jean Slater recently cottoning on to his evil intentions.

In scenes that aired last night (March 26), Jean left Walford for a bit after confronting Dean about his rationing of Jade's medications.

"You're messing with her antibiotics. Why?" she asked him. "I don't understand. Why would a father hurt his own daughter?"

However, Dean managed to turn the tables and manipulated Jean into believing that she has been harming Jade.

In new scenes set to air next week on the soap, Harvey shares his worries about Jean with Eve as he sets up an Easter hunt for the kids.

At the Slaters, Harvey bribes Lily to invite Jade over so he can keep an eye on her, and is relieved to see she is on the mend. However, when Dean sees his daughter is at No 31, he reacts badly, drawing suspicion from Harvey.

He is later confronted by Harvey after Dean posts a slanderous message about him online, and Harvey is backed by Honey and Billy as they praise Harvey's character. Harvey then vows to get to the bottom of what Dean is doing to Jade.

Dean later gets a frosty reception by Chelsea at Peggy's, as she confronts him about his behaviour, leading Dean to delete his Harvey post. Dean then heads to No 45 and sells his share of Beale's Eels to Cindy and Ian.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
