EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has teased details about the soap's upcoming digital spin-off series made for TikTok.

Appearing on tonight's (May 1) episode of The One Show, the Freddie Slater actor spoke about his upcoming return to EastEnders and revealed how the soap had created a web-based series following his character and Laila Morse's returning Mo Harris.

"EastEnders are on Tikkers," he told hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas, going on to explain that he'd had to pretend the cameras were a mobile phone while filming the additional content.

"I was acting like the camera was a phone. I was getting all up and close and pressing play," he added.

Bobby then went on to tease details of what the TikTok episodes would contain, telling Alex and Jermaine the content revolved around Freddie's time living with Mo in her caravan as they made their way back to Albert Square.

"I guess it's an insight into Freddy and Mo living together in a caravan and I'm playing pranks on her and just doing the kind of silly stuff that Freddy would do with his great-grandmother," he said.

"It was funny. It was a really funny day."

Bobby is set to make his return to Walford alongside Laila in the upcoming weeks, with Freddie previously making a temporary departure from the square in the aftermath of his attack on Theo Hawthorne.

The exact reason behind Mo and Freddie's decision to return to Walford is yet to be revealed, however the web series will air prior to their return on the main show.

"We're delighted to welcome Laila back permanently as she is thrust into the heart of the drama alongside great-grandson Freddie," producer Chris Clenshaw said of the news, adding that she and Freddie will be thrust "into the heart of the drama" upon their return.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
