Early-morning Belmont shooting leaves man with life-threatening injuries: Police

BELMONT, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the Belmont Police Department.

Around 6 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to 23 Alice Ave, Apt. 7, for reports of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found a 38-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Investigators believe this was not a random act of violence and that this incident was between two people who knew each other.
