On-duty NYCHA employee allegedly choked coworker during fight: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — An on-duty New York City Housing Authority employee was arrested after allegedly choking another on-duty employee during a fight on Monday, police said Tuesday.

Rasheed Muhammad, 46, was charged with strangulation and criminal mischief in connection to the incident, according to the NYPD.

It was unclear what led to the fight. The extent of the victim’s injuries was not immediately available.

“NYCHA takes instances of workplace violence very seriously. At this time, we will direct you to the NYPD for more information as this is an active investigation,” a representative from NYCHA shared on Tuesday.
