Dunkin’ sells specialty donut for Investigator Theetge

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — Today, Dunkin’ Donuts’ stores, exclusively in Chemung County, ran a sale on its specialty donuts to raise thousands of dollars for Chemung County Investigator Michael Theetge.

The donuts were decorated with black and blue colors, which varied from sprinkled to Boston Cream flavor. For every special donut sold at the Chemung County locations, one dollar is donated to Investigator Theetge’s family to help with his medical expenses.

One of the customers, Robert Hauger, who bought one of the donuts said, “I would buy them every day until they don’t have them anymore. Just anything to help him.”

Another customer, Kendall Eastwood, said “I think it’s pretty cool that the community is gathering together to do this for the deputy. I met him once and he seems like a really nice guy.”

Lyndsay Doyle Director of Operations for Dunkin’ Donuts Bapa network, estimates that five to six thousand special donuts could be sold from today’s sale. The donut is only available on April 12.
