Driver seriously injured in crash near Holland

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman sustained serious injuries in a crash near Holland Wednesday afternoon, deputies say.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of 120th Avenue at Greenly Street in Holland Township.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of a Jeep going west on Greenly pulled out in front of a Kia that was headed north on 120th, leading to the crash.

The driver of the Jeep, a 32-year-old West Olive woman, sustained injuries that are considered life-threatening, deputies say.

The driver of the Kia, a 29-year-old Holland man, was also hospitalized, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, deputies say.

The intersection was shut down for about an hour while authorities investigated and cleaned up.
