Driver hurt after car goes off I-74 overpass

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — One person was hurt Tuesday afternoon after their car went off an overpass in Danville.

The crash happened at 3 p.m. at the overpass carrying I-74 over Perrysville Road. Officials with the Illinois State Police said their investigation determined the car was driving east when it got onto the right shoulder. The car struck a concrete barrier and, with the shoulder ending, it went airborne and off the overpass.
