Driver dies after vehicle drifts into canal in Linda

(FOX40.COM) — A man died after his vehicle went into a canal in the town of Linda Sunday night, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP, just before midnight, emergency personnel responded to a report of a crash on State Route 70 south of Feather River Boulevard.

Tracy crash closes section of major roadway

CHP said witnesses reported that a vehicle drifted off the roadway to the right, went through a barbed wire fence and then into a canal.

According to CHP, the driver was not wearing his seatbelt.
