Driver arrested for DWI following fatal collision in Baird

BAIRD, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A driver involved in the fatal collision that claimed three lives was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

On May 5 at 2:10 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a fatal crash in Baird. At the scene, Ashlie Haynes of Clyde was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after she voluntarily took a breath test showing her blood alcohol concentration was over the legal limit of 0.08.

DPS Sergeant Marc Couch states, “This crash is under investigation, and additional charges could be filed based upon the analysis of the evidence and facts once it has been completed.”
