Dragons' Den was slightly brutal tonight

Tonight's Dragons' Den was an utterly ruthless episode, with the Dragons destroying business dreams left, right and centre.

One couple, Mike and Zena, were so keen on making their healthy dog treat business a success that they sold their house to invest in it – but their pitch didn't go down so well with viewers.

The idea didn't impress all the Dragons either, although they were eventually offered £50,000 in exchange for a 15% stake by Jenny Campbell.

It all ended in smiles eventually, as the couple accepted Jenny's offer – with Mike saying he'd even wondered whether he should kiss Jenny.

Another pair of business partners looked a little mismatched on paper, with pensioner William and 25-year-old Fenna bringing their idea for a used book business, Bookbarn International, to the Dragons.

And viewers weren't too sure about this one either:

But others were a little more impressed by Fenna's young age and William's revelation that he's Charles Darwin's great-great-grandson:

Sadly for the pair, they didn't receive any offers of investments.

It was better news for business partners Liam and Craig, whose 'clean-eating' snack business received offers from Jenny, Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Tej Lalvani.

Not everyone watching was that impressed with the idea:

But it was a happy ending for Liam and Craig, as they managed to strike a deal with Tej and Peter.

Dragons' Den continues next Sunday at 8pm on BBC Two.
