DPS investigating after person found dead in car in Manor creek Monday

MANOR, Texas (KXAN) — Texas authorities are investigating after a car with a dead body inside was pulled out of a creek in Manor Monday morning.

The Department of Public Safety said it responded to a fatal crash around 8:41 a.m. Monday after a driver reported seeing a vehicle upside down and almost completely submerged in Cottonwood Creek in the 18800 block of Cameron Road in Manor.

The vehicle, a 2008 Infiniti, was recovered from the creek and emergency responders found a man in the passenger seat. He was confirmed to be dead on the scene, according to Travis County ESD No. 2.

The accident is being investigated by DPS.
