Donald Trump's Latest Attack On Hillary Clinton is a Sexist Mess

From Cosmopolitan

Now that Donald Trump has declared himself "the presumptive nominee" for the Republican Party, he's turned his attacks on Hillary Clinton. At the end of a news conference following his victories in all five of last night's primaries, Trump declared that the Democratic front-runner is only doing as well as she is because she's a woman.

"I think the only card she has is the woman's card. She's got nothing else going. Frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don't think she'd get 5 percent of the vote," Trump said. "The only thing she's got going is the women's card, and the beautiful thing is, women don't like her, OK, and look how well I did with women tonight."

Trump doubled down on his comments this morning telling the hosts of CNN's New Day: "She is a woman. She is playing the woman card right and left. I think if she were a man, and she was the way she is, she would get virtually no votes."

Clinton addressed the whole "woman's card" thing last night in a speech of her own, saying: "Well, if fighting for women's health care and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in!"
