MIDTOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) – Former President Donald Trump made a campaign stop at the JP Morgan Chase Headquarters in Midtown on Thursday ahead of his hush money trial.

He shook hands and took pictures with union workers before blasting President Joe Biden and the economy.

“The polls have just come out. We’re leading, he’s the worst president in the history of the country, he makes Jimmy Carter look great,” Trump said.

He spent about 20 minutes at the event before leaving for Manhattan criminal court. It will be the third day of testimony in the historic case.

Trump is also waiting for a decision from the judge in his hush-money case about whether he has violated a gag order that said he was not supposed to speak disparagingly about witnesses.

A hearing was held on Tuesday, though a ruling has not been made.

“They’ve taken my constitutional right from me. Election interference,” Trump said.
