Dog killed in Indiana house fire; family escapes unharmed
HOBART, Ind. — A family’s dog was killed during a house fire in Hobart, Indiana.
Fire crews were dispatched to a structure fire just before 9 p.m. Sunday on the 300 block of North Wabash Street.
According to fire officials, the family was able to escape unharmed from the burning house. Unfortunately, a dog did not survive the blaze.

The family has been placed in a temporary home.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
