If you’re looking for a way to keep the kids entertained at the Thanksgiving table, look no further! DIY pumpkin slime is the only thing you need.
It’s squishy, goopy, and so much fun to play with. When you add a little cinnamon and orange food coloring to the mix, it’s perfect for holiday shenanigans.
If you don’t like the idea of using Borax, try this alternative.
- ¾ - 1 ½ tsp Borax
- 1 1/3 cups Hot Water
- 2 cups Elmer’s Glue
- 1 ½ cups Hot Water
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- Food coloring

1. Combine ¾ tsp Borax with 1 1/3 cups water, as hot as your hands can handle, and mix well.
2. In a separate bowl combine the remaining ingredients and mix well.
3. Add the Borax mixture to the glue mixture and mix well. Once the mixture is combined, beat vigorously with hands or a wooden spoon until the slime begins to congeal, and pull away from the bowl. If it remains too liquid, add more Borax dissolved in a tiny bit of warm water by the ¼ tsp.
If you feel like you’re not reaching the right consistency, simply add a little more Borax dissolved in just a touch of warm water.
