Are you eagerly anticipating the opening of Star Wars Land at both Disneyland and Disney World? Yeah, us too. Ever since we learned we could actually blast off to that galaxy far, far, away we’ve been saving up our pennies to purchase admission once the front gate opens and we can jump onboard the Millennium Falcon with all our friends. It’s going to be nothing short of amazing.

But hold up, not so fast. According to the word on Main Street U.S.A., depending on what kind of ticket you purchase for Disneyland and Disney World you might not be able to actually GET to Star Wars Land for TWO MONTHS.

TWO. MONTHS.

While this is by no means confirmed, and Disney hasn’t commented either way, a recent survey was sent out to annual passholders to ask them about purchasing tickets. If you have a Disney annual pass, depending on what kind of level pass you have, there are different blockout dates for when you can visit. So like, the cheapest annual pass will NOT allow you admission during the summer; the most expensive annual pass gets you in every single day of the year.

According to WFTV 9 in Orlando, Florida, this survey asked, “if they would buy regular park admission during a two-month blackout period after the opening of new attractions, upgrade to a pass without blackout dates or wait out the two months.”

Basically, would they end up purchasing a separate day ticket to visit Star Wars Land once it opens, or stand in the Disney parking lot and stare at it from a far and (not) patiently wait two months to check it out?

Oh boy. Annual passes range anywhere from $300 to $1,439 (OH BOY), and now imagine paying an addition $100 on top of that just to check out Star Wars Land the third week it’s open. That’s like…a lot to ask (and also take into account that you’re going to buy *at least* $300 worth of cool Star Wars merchandise in the park).

This is some bananas stuff, and something to consider if you’re thinking about buying an annual pass just to go visit Star Wars Land. If this turns out to be true, you’d be better buying a one-day ticket at first…and might end up buying multiple one-day tickets.
