Disney on Ice at Intrust Bank Arena this weekend

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Disney on Ice: Magic in the Stars is in Wichita this weekend.

The show includes a journey with Mickey, Minnie, and friends and stories of Cinderella, Aladdin, Toy Story, Cars, Encanto, Frozen 2, and Moana.

Jamelle Holopirek with Visit Wichita says more shows, sporting events and tournaments have come to Wichita over the years because we have the facilities to host them. Each event brings in more money for the local economy.

Spaces like Intrust Bank Arena, Stryker Sports Complex and Riverfront Stadium allow Wichita to hold more events with diverse options.

“We have different things going on, a little bit for everyone,” Holopirek said. “And I think that’s why it’s so fun. And we’re centrally located, Wichita is, so we can bring people in from western Kansas, southeast Kansas, northeast Kansas, down from Oklahoma, Nebraska, because we have so much to offer.”

She says Visit Wichita works to make sure shows want to come back to Wichita.

“Letting them know, hey, we have the facility, we have the hospitality,” Holopirek said. “You’re not going to find any place that’s nicer than Wichita, and we’re going to work with you. We’re going to help you organize that. We’re going to make it easy. It’s going to be a pleasant experience when you come to Wichita and perform your shows here and bring your people here to enjoy Wichita.”
