What is salmonella?
Salmonella is a type of bacteria that can cause food poisoning. It lives in the intestines of animals and humans and is spread through contaminated food or water.
Here's a breakdown of what salmonella is and how it can affect you:
Spreading: It gets into your system through contaminated food or water that wasn't properly cleaned or cooked.
Symptoms: If you get infected, you might experience diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps within a few days to a week.
Severity: Most healthy people recover on their own within a short period. However, in some cases, it can lead to severe dehydration and require medical attention.
