Dinosaur National Monument proposes camping fee increase

DINOSAUR, Colo. (KREX) — The National Park Service is seeking feedback on proposed camping fee increases at Dinosaur National Monument.

Officials say camping fees at Dinosaur National Monument haven’t seen an increase since 2016.

“We want to provide our visitors with the best possible experience,” Acting Monument Superintendent Jason Griswold said. “One way of achieving that goal is to collect and invest funds from camping fees into providing visitor services and maintaining facilities.”

The National Park Service will accept comments on the proposed changes until June 1. Feedback will help determine how and when fee increases may take place.

To see the proposed fee changes and leave a comment, visit the National Park Service website. You can also submit your feedback by filling out a contact form with “proposed camping fees” in the subject line.
