Dillons to open new pharmacy in Emporia

EMPORIA (KSNT) – A major grocery store chain is opening a new pharmacy in the City of Emporia this week.

Dillons announced in a press release it will hold a grand opening for a new pharmacy location to help serve the people of Emporia. The official ribbon cutting is set for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10.

Dillons spokeswoman Sheila Regehr says the ceremony will be attended by company representatives, the Emporia Chamber of Commerce and the Emporia Rescue Mission. A donation of $1,500 will be made to the Emporia Rescue Mission during the event.

The first Dillons grocery store to open in Emporia was in 1975. The new pharmacy here is the 72nd to be opened in the area for the company.
