Diddy makes history on 'Drop the Mic' after shutting down Ashton Kutcher

It all came down to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs during a special Drop the Mic on The Late Late Show, when Ashton Kutcher went head-to-head with James Corden.

Kutcher was bringing it as he rapped, “People see me at valet, they say, ‘Look, it’s a star!’ People see you at valet, they say, ‘Dude, where’s my car?'”

The Late Late Show host thought it would be sweet to take aim at Kutcher’s jobs. “Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve are movies you fumbled, you ruined more holidays than a Trump-loving uncle. You joined ‘Two and a Half Men’ when producers intervened, it’s the only time people thought, ‘Man I miss Charlie Sheen.’ You invested all your money in technology and apps. Hell, I’d do the same thing if I knew I couldn’t act,” Corden responded.

Kutcher slapped back: “If you couldn’t act, James? That’s the test? The results are in then, it’s time to invest,” Kutcher rapped. “I hate to kick a man when he’s down in a slump, but I’m looking at the baby of Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump.”

In the end, Reggie Watts found it tough to name a winner, so he called in the expert, Diddy, who said, “First of all, I want to say that was very entertaining. But now to the judges’ cards in one of the closest battles in the ‘Late Late Show’ history. The winner, by only a half a point, for the very first time in history, James Corden!” An overjoyed Corden immediately picked up Diddy and spun the rapper-entrepreneur around. But the best part was seeing Kutcher fall to his knees in defeat.

The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
