Did Gwendoline Christie Just Pitch a ‘Star Wars’ & ‘Game of Thrones’ Crossover?
Gwendoline Christie has played both the sword-wielding Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones and the first female stormtrooper, Captain Phasma, in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But when it comes to choosing the victor in a cross-franchise battle, Christie can’t decide.
“It’s so difficult for me because I hold them very dear to my heart. I also know that they’re both incredibly strong,” Christie told Refinery29.
She continued to weigh the power of a chrome stormtrooper outfit versus that of a sword, saying, “John Boyega said to me yesterday, ‘It would be Phasma.’ But I’m not so sure. Maybe what can come about is some sort of cross-franchise movie, where Brienne of Tarth and Phasma battle it out, and I will fight myself…Imagine what they could do together.”
