City of Colorado Springs

The City of Colorado Springs shared some big news from the Downtown Partnership online that for one year, the William J. Palmer statue in downtown Colorado Springs would be trading places with the “Blue Mustang,” also known as “Blucifer” outside of DIA, adding that the swap would help with traffic impacts in the area.

“We realized the Palmer statue just wasn’t big enough, or blue enough, or creepy enough to scare drivers into submission,” said City Traffic Manager Rod Bisbee. “Blucifer should solve those problems easily.”

The City also shared online that the Casa Bonita cliff divers would be coming to Seven Falls, and the giraffes from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo would be featured in a dunking contest at a Nuggets halftime show.

Colorado Springs Utilities

Colorado Springs Utilities (Springs Utilities) said a situation at the Las Vegas Water Resource Recovery Facility has been brewing for some time, introducing “the Weti,” a creature, Springs Utilities said, was created from all of the “flushable” wipes.

Springs Utilities said they need the help of the community to get rid of the Weti by not flushing wipes and throwing them in the trash.

FOX21 Morning News

FOX21 Morning News celebrated the occasion with a little switcharoo on Monday as Anchors Craig Coffey and Abbie Burke switched seats for the morning intro at 5 a.m.

Loving Living Local

Loving Living Local had a special surprise for Host Jen Musa, as the team was finally able to get Miss America, Madison Marsh, on the show. As the segment began, Jen quickly found out that wasn’t the case, as FOX21 News Director Joe Cole appeared on FaceTime instead.
