Design Spaces : Restaurant/Pub - Part 3.

Designed by the principal architect of Wadesign, Jatin Hukkeri, the pub Hangover, located in Bengaluru, India is spread over 7000 sqft of floor space in an old-time bungalow. The bungalow was converted into this airy pub and incorporates the best of Bengaluru’s outdoors and indoors to exude that casual chic ambience. Hangover breaks the monotony of standard industrial interiors with some creative inclusions. The design is such that regardless of where one is seated, the entire space can be viewed in its totality, including the outdoors. The design is funky and has interesting elements like the Bajaj Matador that has been converted to a Volkswagen camper van to serve as a bar.  All cocktails are served in Bangkok styled big buckets. Lit up in a funky style, this van bar is visible across the pub and even faces the main road. The lighting has been kept minimal but adds significantly to the overall ambience. The mix of colours used  is unconventional for a bar. The indoor space is designed using wooden floors, leather couches and casual artwork to provide a warm look. The bent copper pipe light feature, bar and seating areas that are lit from under and the mix of greens, cement and metal make for some interesting dynamics all through the space.

Let us take a peek into this beautiful pub and be left with a hangover of awesomeness!
