Deputies: Woman hospitalized after Ottawa Co. crash

JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman was taken to the hospital after a crash southeast of Zeeland Sunday morning.

Just before 11 a.m., Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene of a crash at the intersection of Adams Street and 48th Avenue in Jamestown Township.

A 2008 Pontiac G8 driven by a 21-year-old Holland woman was headed north on 48th Avenue but did not stop at the stop sign at Adams Street, deputies say. She crashed into a 2005 Toyota Camry that was headed west on Adams Street.

The driver of the Toyota was injured and taken to the hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening, according to deputies.

The driver of the Pontiac was ticketed for not stopping at the stop sign, the sheriff’s office said.
