TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A south Florida woman was accused of giving women drugs to coerce them into having sex for money.

Elise Mizrachi of Pembroke Pines recruited heroin and fentanyl addicts and trafficked them, according to a release from Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody’s office.

Mizrachi was on probation for trafficking heroin at the time. She coerced multiple Miami women and a woman from Pennsylvania into sex work, promising them an easy way to get drugs and make money, the release said.

She was accused of posting their pictures to commercial sex websites, communicating with buyers and arranging “dates.” Mizrachi kept “most if not all of the profits,” according to Moody’s office.

“This depraved human trafficker targeted women struggling with addiction, giving them heroin and fentanyl to coerce them to have sex in exchange for money—most of which the defendant kept,” Moody wrote in a statement. “I am grateful for those who came forward to report the atrocious crimes to police.”

A few women escaped Mizrachi and reported the situation to the police. She is charged with two counts of adult human trafficking and other offenses.

Anyone who witnesses or suspects human trafficking is urged to call the statewide tip line at (855)-FLA-SAFE.
