Denver weather: Warming into the weekend with April showers on the way

DENVER (KDVR) — Temperatures improved on Tuesday in Denver weather from the cold readings on Monday.

However, it was still a below-normal day, with temperatures 10-15 degrees below average for this time of year. According to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast, the warming trend will slowly continue for the rest of the week.

Weather tonight: Few showers, cold

There will be scattered snow showers moving west to east across the Colorado mountains on Tuesday night, with light accumulation of around an inch or just a little more. A few of the showers could move out across the Eastern Plains and the Front Range early with little to no accumulation expected at lower elevations.

It will be another cold night with lows below freezing.

Weather tomorrow: A milder day

There will still be some mountain snow showers on Wednesday. Across metro Denver and the Eastern Plains, there will be passing clouds at times.

Temperatures will be a little milder, with highs expected in the 50s. However, it will be another below-normal day for this time of year.

Looking ahead: Warmer with showers possible

Temperatures will continue to warm into the milder 60s later in the week and into the weekend.

There will be isolated rain showers on Friday and again on Easter Sunday. Overall the forecast looks mainly dry until early next week.

Denver has seen over 3 feet of snow this season

A better chance for showers is on Monday with a leftover shower early on Tuesday. Late Monday night, there is also a low chance that some of that rain could mix with or change to a period of snow.

Accumulation does not look to be an issue for metro Denver. However, the Pinpoint Weather team is watching for possible higher totals in the foothills and mountains.
