Denver weather: Warmer days before rain chances, cooler temps return

​​​​​​DENVER (KDVR) — Thanks to the recent weekend rain and snowstorm, the month of April is ahead for moisture in Denver weather.

The chance for additional showers is possible in the coming week. The next best chance for soggy weather could be again on Saturday, according to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast.

Weather tonight: Few clouds and cool night

There will be partly cloudy skies across Colorado on Monday night. Any evening showers will dissipate with the setting sun.

It will be chilly in the mountains with overnight lows in the 30s. There will be a mix of chilly 30s and cool 40s over the Eastern Plains and in metro Denver.

Weather tomorrow: Few rain showers and cooler

A weak cold front will reduce afternoon temperatures across northeast Colorado into more seasonal low 60s. The warmer readings will remain out west with highs expected to reach the 70s and 80s along the western border.

It will be breezy with scattered mountain showers and a few showers slipping out across the Eastern Plains and metro Denver later in the day.

Looking ahead: Rain returns over the weekend

Wednesday will be dry and warm before rain chances increase heading into the weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon on Thursday and Friday.

The rain chances increase on Saturday before slowly drying out on Sunday.

There is the possibility of picking up another half an inch of moisture from Friday through Saturday, which will keep the month of April ahead for moisture.

There will also be measurable snow in the Colorado mountains from late Friday through Saturday. Totals look to stay below 4-6 inches.
