DENVER (KDVR) — Clouds will stick around on Wednesday with mild highs in the low 50s. Then, evening rain will swap to snow as Colorado will get a decent snowstorm on Thursday.

Looking ahead: Heavy snow, Pinpoint Weather Alert Day Thursday

Snow will continue to fall around Colorado on Thursday with wet and heavy snow expected along the Front Range and into the foothills.

High temperatures will be in the low to middle 30s with a brisk wind at 10-15 mph.

Snow will continue overnight and wrap up early on Friday morning. Snowfall totals in the metro will stretch from 8-18 inches with more snow towards the base of the foothills.

Downtown Denver could see a foot of snow.

The Palmer Divide could get 14-24 inches, and spots in the foothills could see even more with 16-38 inches or more.
