Denver weather: Foggy start to a sunny and pleasant day

DENVER (KDVR) —  Denver’s weather Sunday morning started off cloudy and very foggy, making for difficult driving especially along the Southern Front Range Foothills, in Castle Rock and in Briggsdale.

The fog was very thick in some spots and visibility was less than a quarter of a mile at times.

However, after the fog clears up, Denver looks to be in store for a sunny and comfortable day on Sunday.

Weather today: Decreasing clouds, sunshine

The fog will clear by the mid-morning hours followed by ample sunshine in the afternoon and mild temperatures.

Highs will top out in the middle to lower 60s, which is right where they should be for this time of the year.

Weather tonight: Mostly clear and mild

Tonight features mostly clear skies across the metro area along with lows in the middle to lower 40s. Winds will be out of the southwest anywhere from 5-15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph.

Looking ahead: Warmer week, chance for showers

Monday will be sunny and warmer with highs climbing to the mid-70s, which is about 10 degrees above average.

Tuesday, a system rolls in that will knock down temperatures to the mid-60s, which is normal for this time of year.

Wednesday brings even warmer temperatures before possible storm chances return on Thursday and through the weekend.
