Denver weather: Chance for weekend showers and warmer temperatures

DENVER (KDVR) — Warmer than normal temperatures will stay in Denver’s weather forecast through the weekend with the chance of showers arriving in the days ahead.

Weather tonight: Mainly clear, mild

Friday night will be mainly clear and mild. Low temperatures will fall to around 50 degrees, which is about 5 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.

Deliveries will be impacted by 9-hour-long I-70 closure

Weather tomorrow: Sunny, chance for thunderstorms

Saturday will start with plenty of sunshine. Then, as high temperatures climb to the mid-70s, clouds will increase ahead of the chance for some afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Looking ahead: Warmer Sunday, showers start workweek

Sunday will be mainly sunny and warmer. High temperatures are on track to climb into the 80s for the third time this year.

A more active weather pattern moves in for the start of the workweek. Monday will start mostly sunny, then as high temperatures climb to the mid-70s, the chance for showers will increase.

A more widely scattered chance for showers moves in Tuesday, and a few showers could linger into early Wednesday. Sunshine and mild temperatures in the 70s return by the end of the week.
