Okaloosa County traffic crash leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A man was killed and another suffered minor injuries Tuesday morning in a collision involving a sport utility vehicle and a dump truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to a release, FHP received a report of a collision involving an SUV and a commercial vehicle on U.S. Highway 90 or State Road 10 at the intersection of Walden Road.

CRASH LOCATION:

The SUV was going south on Walden Road and was hit by a dump truck traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 90 when attempting to turn onto U.S. Highway 90.

The SUV driver was killed. He was 55 years old and from DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

The dump truck driver, 50 years old of Laurel Hill, Florida, suffered minor injuries.
