Deaf fans experience Premier League match with help of revolutionary football shirt

For the first time, members of the deaf community have been able to feel the atmosphere of a Premier League match – in the stadium through sensory shirts. It was used for the first time in Newcastle’s game against Tottenham – but is technology that Newcastle says it will keep in place – and hopes to see taken on by other clubs around the league and Europe. The club, which is owned by a Saudi Arabian consortium backed by the Kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund, as well as Sela, which also forms part of the Public Investment Fund’s investment portfolio, have partnered to roll out these innovative shirts that were enjoyed by team mascots and deaf fans alike.
