DC police: Toddler dies after being shot in Southeast

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a 3-year-old girl was shot in Southeast Friday night.

Student inside Dunbar High School in DC hit by bullet fired from outside

Police said that shortly after 9 p.m., they responded to the 2300 block of Hartford Street for the sounds of gunshots, followed by a child being found in a firehouse nearby.

The girl was transported to the hospital where she died.

Officers said the girl was inside a car when the shooting took place.
