DC police searching for attempted bank robbery suspect

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police were looking for a man accused of trying to rob a D.C. bank on Friday morning.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) released surveillance images of the suspect. The attempted robbery happened at a bank in the 400 block of North Capitol St. in Northwest D.C.

Safety concerns rise after Metro shooting that killed teen

MPD said the man pictured approached a teller at the bank around 9:25 a.m. and gave the teller a note that demanded money.

Police said that he fled without getting any money.
