DC police arrest 4 suspects for stealing from CVS

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it arrested four people suspected of stealing nearly $700 worth of merchandise from a CVS in Southeast D.C.

Officers were conducting retail theft operations at a CVS at 1100 New Jersey Ave. SE. on April 10 at about 9:20 a.m. According to a six-page police report, officers saw a suspect take items from inside the store. The person left the CVS and was arrested for Theft II and Unlawful Entry.

A little over an hour later at 10:44 a.m., officers saw another suspect take items from inside the store. Officials at the scene saw that the suspect had a warrant out of Arlington County and placed them under arrest for Theft II and Fugitive From Justice.

At 11:43 a.m., MPD said officers saw two suspects go inside the CVS and take items. They left the store and were stopped by police and arrested for Theft II. One of the suspects had a stun gun and was charged with Possession of a Destructive Device.

They were both taken to the Juvenile Processing Center.
