DC News Now joins members of Congress, White House staff for ACLI Capital Challenge

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Running and walking, some of the country’s top leaders will team up with members of the media, including people from DC News Now, on May 15 to help young people.

The ACLI Capital Challenge takes place at Anacostia Park in Southeast.

The run/walk benefits Junior Achievement USA, which supports young people in making positive choices, planning for their future, and becoming successful economically. The group’s programs serve more than 4.4 million students across the country.

More than 25 White House staff members will be running, led by Chief of Staff
Jeff Zients (Zients’ Zoomers). Among others participating in the event are more than two dozen federal judges who are leading teams. U.S. Sen. Krysten Sinema (I-Ariz.) and U.S. Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.) are some of the members of Congress who were scheduled to run.

The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), which is the event’s title sponsor, is the leading
trade association driving public policy and advocacy on behalf of the life
insurance industry. ACLI’s 275 member companies represent 93% of industry assets in the United States.
