Davis Stuart hosts 8th annual Horse Show

LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS) – Davis Stuart is a non-profit that uses the Spirit of Christ to help children and their families find spiritual, emotional, and physical wholeness.

One of the ways this non-profit raises money for their individual programs is through events like their annual horse show.

Marketing Development Associate Kadie Van Blaricom says this program brings smiles to the residents’ faces.

“This is going to be our 8th Annual Horse Show and it’s taking place at the state fairgrounds next weekend, May 11th. It is to raise and support for our equine program here at Davis Stuart. There is no admission fee so it’s nice if people just want to come out and support the program on a pretty day,” said Van Blaricom.

The event is favored among the residents who will be working at the event.  The residents also show off the miniature horses, since they are easier to manage and maintain.

“It’s very important because our equine programs here at Davis Stuart is one of the residents’ favorites,” said Van Blaricom.
